Help People Return to the Homes They Love
Carolina Home Access provides thoughtful home modifications that help seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, and individuals recovering from illness or injury live safely and independently. We install stair lifts, wheelchair ramps, grab bars, handrails, lighting, bathroom safety solutions, and other accessibility improvements throughout the Charlotte region.
We are a growing, mission-driven company that listens first, recommends only what the client truly needs, and stands behind every solution we provide.
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Business Development Representative or healthcare professional who can help Carolina Home Access build strong referral relationships with skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, home health organizations, social-service agencies, and other community partners.
This is a relationship-driven business development role. You will use your professional knowledge and existing network to connect discharge planners, social workers, care coordinators, and families with practical home accessibility solutions. You will also help clients identify potential funding options, agency programs, private-pay solutions, and other resources that may make necessary home modifications possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain referral relationships with skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, home health agencies, social-service organizations, state and local government agencies, insurance organizations, and other community partners.
- Learn how each partner organization operates, including its discharge challenges, service gaps, administrative requirements, funding considerations, and client needs.
- Educate Carolina Home Access on the agencies, programs, workflows, and decision-making processes that influence referrals and home-accessibility services.
- Help shape company processes, communication, and service standards so Carolina Home Access becomes easier and more valuable for referral partners to work with.
- Treat partner agencies as customers by providing responsive communication, dependable follow-through, and a consistently positive experience.
- Identify ways Carolina Home Access can reduce delays, solve discharge barriers, and make transitions home safer and more efficient.
- Educate social workers, discharge planners, care coordinators, therapists, administrators, government representatives, and insurance professionals about available accessibility solutions.
- Gather feedback from referral partners and use it to improve services, documentation, communication, and overall partner support.
- Collaborate directly with the owner to develop referral strategies, strengthen agency relationships, and create long-term partnerships.
- Track contacts, follow-ups, referrals, partner feedback, and business-development results.
Qualifications
- At least five years of relevant experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, senior care, disability services, case management, discharge planning, social services, business development, or a related field.
- Experience working with skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, home health organizations, senior-care providers, or comparable community partners.
- Knowledge of healthcare discharge processes, accessibility needs, aging-in-place services, community resources, or disability-related services.
- Experience with home accessibility, durable medical equipment, rehabilitation services, or home-transition needs is preferred.
- Experience with veteran-service programs, VA-related vendor procedures, or veteran community organizations is preferred.
- Strong professional communication, outreach, organization, documentation, and relationship-development skills.
- Ability to introduce services and develop business through ethical, nonaggressive outreach.
- Commitment to honesty, patient choice, privacy, and appropriate professional boundaries.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in social work, healthcare administration, rehabilitation, human services, marketing, business, or a related field is preferred.
This is a nonclinical business-development position. It does not provide clinical social-work services, determine eligibility for benefits, guarantee funding, or provide legal, financial, clinical, or accredited veterans-benefits advice.
Former government employees must comply with all applicable post-employment ethics, conflict-of-interest, procurement-integrity, and representation restrictions. Employees may not use or disclose confidential or nonpublic government information.
Compensation
- Part-time or full-time W-2 employment.
- Pay: $30-$45 per hour, based on relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated business-development capabilities.
- Eligible employees may receive a discretionary performance bonus based on documented outreach activity, partnership development, administrative quality, and overall company performance. Compensation is not based on individual patient referrals, purchases, benefit approvals, or healthcare discharge decisions.
- Opportunity to grow into a larger leadership or business-development position as the company expands.
- Flexible, relationship-focused work with a direct and measurable community impact.
