Carolina Home Access

Veteran Services Consultant

Charlotte, NC (1099/W-2) | $35-$50/hour

Help Veterans Get the Home Access They Deserve.

Carolina Home Access helps veterans, seniors, and families create safer, more accessible homes -- wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, grab bars, bathroom safety, and more.

We're looking for a Veteran Services Consultant to build relationships within the VA system and connect veterans with the home modifications they need.

This is a consultant / independent contractor role with the potential for long-term, ongoing work as we grow.

What You'll Do

  • Build relationships with VA facilities, veteran-service organizations, healthcare providers, and discharge planners
  • Introduce Carolina Home Access and explain our home-accessibility services
  • Navigate VA vendor registration, documentation, and administrative requirements
  • Develop outreach and community-education processes
  • Provide general information about home-accessibility solutions
  • Direct veterans to authorized VA personnel for benefits and eligibility questions
  • Identify opportunities for ramps, stair lifts, grab bars, and bathroom safety solutions
  • Comply with all privacy, procurement, ethics, and anti-kickback requirements

What You Bring

  • 5+ years experience in veteran services, VA benefits, rehabilitation, disability services, healthcare, social work, or related field
  • Working knowledge of VA systems, healthcare referral networks, or public-sector vendor processes
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Ability to explain complex administrative processes clearly
  • Commitment to ethical outreach -- no aggressive sales tactics
  • Must be able to travel locally throughout the greater Charlotte area

Compensation & Structure

  • $35-$50/hour (based on experience)
  • Consultant / Independent Contractor (1099) -- W-2 available for part-time/full-time
  • Long-term potential -- This is not a short-term project. Grow with us.
  • Discretionary performance bonus -- Based on outreach, partnerships, and quality (not referrals)
  • Growth opportunity -- Help establish and lead the veteran-services channel; direct owner access

Why This Role Matters

You'll use your VA knowledge and relationships to create a direct, visible impact in veterans' lives -- helping a growing company navigate a complicated system while connecting veterans with solutions that improve safety and independence at home.

Carolina Home Access encourages applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
